# ovr builds

> List builds and inspect a single build's status.

Authenticates with a [personal access token](/cli/authentication) — a project API key is rejected.

## `ovr builds list`

```sh theme={null}
ovr builds list --branch main --status needs_review
```

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--server-url <url>` | OVR server URL (defaults to `ovr.config`'s `serverUrl`) |
| `--branch <name...>` | Filter to builds on these branches |
| `--commit <sha...>` | Filter to builds for these commits |
| `--status <status...>` | Filter to builds with these statuses |
| `--author <author...>` | Filter to builds by these authors |
| `--search <text>` | Filter to builds matching this text |
| `--sort <direction>` | Sort by creation time, `asc` or `desc` (default `desc`) |
| `--limit <count>` | Builds per page, 1–100 (default `20`) |
| `--cursor <cursor>` | Fetch the page following this cursor |
| `--all` | Fetch every page instead of just the first |
| `-c, --config <path>` | Path to `ovr.config` file |
| `--json` | Print results as JSON instead of a table |

Prints one row per build: build ID, status, branch, commit, project, and name.

The repeatable filters (`--branch`, `--commit`, `--status`, `--author`) match a
build if it matches any of the values given. `--status` accepts `queued`,
`processing`, `needs_review`, `unchanged`, `auto_approved`, `approved`,
`rejected`, `error`, and `canceled`; anything else is rejected before the
request is sent. When filters match nothing, the applied filters are printed
alongside `No builds found.` so a mistyped branch or author is visible.

### Pagination

One page is returned at a time. When more builds match than fit on the page,
the cursor for the next page is printed:

```
Showing 20 of 137. Next page: --cursor eyJjcmVhdGVkQXQiOiIyMDI2...
```

Pass that value back as `--cursor` to fetch the following page, or use `--all`
to fetch every page in one command.

`--json` prints an object carrying the page and its pagination state, where
`nextCursor` is `null` on the last page:

```json theme={null}
{ "builds": [], "total": 137, "nextCursor": "eyJjcmVhdGVkQXQiOiIyMDI2..." }
```

## `ovr builds get`

```sh theme={null}
ovr builds get <buildId>
```

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--server-url <url>` | OVR server URL (defaults to `ovr.config`'s `serverUrl`) |
| `-c, --config <path>` | Path to `ovr.config` file |
| `--json` | Print the build as JSON instead of formatted text |

Prints the build's ID, status, branch, commit, project, name, author, and creation time, plus an error message or canceling user when relevant.
